Water Distribution and Storage
Towering House has significant experience with water distribution and storage design. Towering House has designed over 250,000 linear feet of water distribution main. Systems have ranged from simple water main systems to complex networks with multiple branches and extreme elevation changes (over 2,000 ft). Towering House engineers have designed complex systems to operate in extreme arctic and high desert climates, including above the Arctic Circle and the high deserts of the American Southwest. Complex system features included recirculating, heat-add distribution systems, multistage booster stations, and pressure-reducing and pressure-sustaining zones.
Towering House has also designed water storage tanks (WST) of sizes ranging from 10,000 to over 1 million gallons. Tank design included both welded steel and bolted steel tanks. Towering House has also designed interior tank baffling systems to ensure proper hydraulic residence time.
